John R. Peterson, Assoc. AIA
John R. Peterson is a Project Designer currently based in the Boston, MA area.
I graduated from Temple University's Tyler School of Art with a Bachelor's of Architecture in 2010. Here is where I focused my studies on the digital progression of the architectural profession and became proficient in multiple software platforms. It was my time here that helped developed my passion for 3-Dimensional modeling, rendering and bringing back my love for animation.
Throughout my professional career I've had the opportunity to work in various facets of the construction industry - from constructing homes as a framer to finishing them as a roofer, my on-site experience has influenced my design process, philosophy and execution. My career has also allowed me to participate in a few different settings of architectural profession - from detailing in a high end metal fabrication shop, to pre-fab "home building" in a design build atmosphere and all the way through a typical architectural studio where I now focus my efforts on Residential design and construction.
I am continually seeking ways to advance my professional knowledge. From developing new skills with new software, learning new building techniques, wood working projects to learning the basis of structural engineering. I plan to obtain my architectural license within the coming years.

When not in the office, I can be found surfing or out on a crew (rowing) boat. I have been a part of the rowing community for most of my life. From coaching competitive teams to actively training and racing myself, I try to carry the core principals of hard work and team work into my every day life.
